经理 – Evaluation and Reappointment

The Annual Managerial Evaluation and Reappointment process enables managers to self-evaluate their performance and enter into a dialogue with their unit and division leaders regarding the manager’s performance. 经理 are evaluated based on their performance during the prior calendar year (January to December, 2023) and are eligible for reappointment for the subsequent fiscal year (July 1, 2024年至6月30日, 2025).

Each year, managers are evaluated on the following competencies:

  • 社会 正义 – Understanding and working to dismantle barriers to the opportunities and privileges appropriate to all residence of New Jersey.

  • 可持续性 – Building practices and programs for long-term survival and flourishing of the 大学.

  • 杰出的 – Performance far exceeded expectations; based on exceptionally high quality of work, completion of a major goal or project, or unique contribution to the unit, 部门, 或大学.

  • 符合预期 – Performance met expectations; based on achievement of goals, objectives and targets.
  • 需要改进 – Performance met expectations inconsistently; based on achievement of goals, objectives and targets.
  • 令人不满意的 – Performance was unsatisfactory and failed to meet minimum expectations.

3/06/2024
Manager submits self-evaluation to Immediate Supervisor.
3/19/2024
Evaluation and reappointment recommendation from Immediate Supervisor to Candidate after consulting with their Unit Head and Division Vice President. Any performance concerns or non-reappointment recommendations must be discussed with VPHR.
3/22/2024
Last day for Candidate to provide a written response to Immediate Supervisor’s evaluation and reappointment recommendation, 如果有任何. Reappointment routed to Unit Head.
4/05/2024
Evaluation and reappointment recommendation from Unit Head to Senior/Vice President.
4/19/2024
Senior/Vice President reviews and submits performance evaluations/ reappointment recommendations to VPHR for review of completeness and content.
4/24/2024
Performance evaluations/reappointment recommendations submitted to President for approval.
5/01/2024
经理 subject to NON-reappointment (ONLY) are notified that their employment at the 大学 will end June 30, 2024.
经理 subject to reappointment will be submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval.
